Turva o meu triste olhar, marmorizado,
Olhar de monja, trágico, gelado
Como um soturno e enorme Campo Santo!

Ah! Nunca mais amá-lo é já bastante!
Quero senti-lo d’outra, bem distante,
Como se fora meu, calma e serena!

Ódio seria em mim saudade infinda,
Mágoa de o ter perdido, amor ainda.
Ódio por ele? Não... não vale a pena.

Un Amour de Jeunesse

This is not just "another french movie" to add to my list... This is in fact a french movie too good to be true.
If someone had told me about this movie, its story specially, I wouldn't probably believe. Me, myself, even think I'm silly for the "been there, done that" feeling felt throughout the movie... The love, the architecture, the music - "Gracias A La Vida" song -, the photography - and the very good photography of the movie - and, as this wasn't all good, hurtful and beautiful enough, there's the time. Of course.

"The rest, of course, is open to interpretation."

One time around the sun without you

It's been a long time, a long time now since I've seen you smile.

Ten long trips around the sun since I last saw that smile, but only joy and thankfulness that on a tiny world in the vastness, for a couple of moments in the immensity of time, we were one.

Ignorant and Happy

"Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst."

I read this quote from Henri Cartier-Bresson the other day and it made me think...

Firstly, it made me realize I DO have a favorite photo, "THE" photograph, and it came immediatly to my mind.
Secondly, it made me realize I could add just a few more to the favorite-pictures-taken-by-me-list. Not much really, only 3 or 4 more. It took me less than 5 minutes to decide which ones they are and, in the end, I concluded that they are quite similiar in their "essence": there is always an unexpected person that "plays the main role", but, at same time, is swallowed by the scenario. Or the reverse. It's like a portrait without face, or correctly it's a snapshot.
More, none of these photos [see below] were predicted to be like this, it was a matter of seconds and everything/everyone changed (the beauty of the unexpected...), probably the time of blinking your eyes and 'shot'.
Finally and in case you don't understand me, well, excuse me, but "the beauty is in the eye of the observant".

"Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst."

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year...

…and I just can’t get enough of it!

December is by far one of my favorite months. I listen all Christmas songs from Michael Bublé, Diana Krall, Frank Sinatra and the album A Very She and Him Christmas every day, over and over again, till the exhaustion! And I can't explain the sadness of January the 2nd!... ;)
